A native Detroiter and dynamic vocalist, has delighted many audiences with her God given vocal talent transcending the sounds of classical, gospel and jazz. Mrs. Carr was born in a family of gospel singers who allowed her to explore various genres of music at an early age. Her countless performances with the late Jazz Artist/Composer/Lecturer James Tatum showcased her as the Contralto Vocalist in Tatumβs Contemporary Jazz Mass live at Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall and various venues throughout the Metro Detroit area and abroad. In her spare time, she performs and records with various local artists blending her musical talents from various genres.
